ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS Notice is hereby given that the City of Moss Point will receive sealed Bids for Frontage Roads Overlay Project. This bid includes, but is not limited to, the furnishing and installation of approximately 4,100 TONS of Asphalt, Striping, and all corresponding work and will be received by the City of Moss Point (herein called OWNER) at 4320 McInnis Avenue, Moss Point, Mississippi 39532 until 2:00 P.M. local time on Tuesday, the 9th day of October, 2018. Bids will be immediately opened and read aloud publicly following the close of the Bid Period. Any Bid received after closing time will be returned unopened. Proposals may be modified or withdrawn at any time prior to the time set for opening Bids. Contract time shall be 30 consecutive calendar days from the effective date shown in the Notice to Proceed. Special Damages - Contractor, in the event of default, shall pay to the Owner the actual costs reasonably incurred by Owner for engineering and inspection forces employed on the work after the time stipulated for completion of the work and other costs as may be reasonably incurred. Bidder must be qualified under Mississippi Law and show current Certificate of Responsibility issued by the Mississippi State Board of Public Contractors establishing his classification as to the value and type of construction on which he is authorized to bid. Bid Award The Jackson County Utility Authority reserves the right to accept or reject any or all Bids or parts of Bids, to waive any formalities and technicalities. Awards, if made, will be made from the lowest and best Bid and the Bid most advantageous to the OWNER. No bid may be withdrawn until the expiration of Ninety (90) days from the date bids are opened.
